Surrogate partner therapy is an experiential therapeutic approach that helps clients to address intimacy and relationship challenges. This practice involves a collaborative effort between a therapist, a surrogate partner, and the client, focusing on cultivating a deeper connection between mind and body. Through guided experiential exercises and a supportive environment, clients explore their physical sensations, emotions, and relational patterns to enhance self-awareness and personal growth. This is an inclusive practice that values creating a safe space for clients of all backgrounds and orientations to explore and enhance their intimacy and relationship skills.

My approach

  • Trust

As a surrogate partner, I prioritize building a foundation of trust with my clients, creating a safe and supportive space where they can explore, grow, and connect authentically. In addition, I trust in the inherent wisdom and self-knowledge of my clients. I believe in empowering them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and desires, and to trust the innate wisdom of their bodies.

  • Embodiment

In my practice, I emphasize an embodiment-centered approach—through guided experiential exercises, clients are encouraged to explore and understand their physical sensations, emotions, and relational patterns in a safe and supportive environment.

  • Compassion

As a practitioner, I value compassion and empathy and let this guide my work. I also believe that developing a compassionate and nurturing relationship with oneself is essential for healthy intimacy and connection with others. I work collaboratively with clients to cultivate self-compassion, self-awareness, and self-acceptance, which are foundational for personal growth and relationship development.
